Last week South Australian artist Paul Sloan dropped by Closer HQ with another of his fine pieces for us to add to our collection. We've had Paul's work in up the office for some time now, and while we debate where to hang this new gem, we thought it best to point out that you can check out some of Paul's art for yourself in the Art Gallery of South Australia's Heartland exhibition. Heartland showcases some of SA's best contemporary work. Here's what those fine folks at AGSA had to say about Paul:
"The son of Irish immigrant parents, contemporary artist Paul Sloan is as intrepid and restless as his imagination. His constellation of ideas are expressed across myriad forms of art making, including photography, sculpture, taxidermy and gouache."
So get in there and see some art! We'd upload a picture, but methinks the office iPhone won't do Paul's work justice.
Closer has also got the AGSA's wonderful Lisa Slade to thank for her irreplaceable assistance on our upcoming arts series for ABC, Hannah Gadsby's Oz.
