Emma Thompson set to star in Sophie Hyde's new feature, GOOD LUCK TO YOU LEO GRANDE

Announced today, Emma Thomspon is attached to star in Sophie Hyde's latest feature, Good Luck To You Leo Grande. This will mark Sophie's third feature drama, after 2019's ANIMALS and her debut, 52 TUESDAYS.

Oscar winner Emma Thompson will star as Nancy Stokes, a 55 year old widow who is yearning for some adventure after a stale marriage. Looking to shake up her sex life, she hires Leo Grande, a young sex worker, for a night of fun, spice and (hopefully) good sex.

Sophie Hyde commented: “I’m thrilled to be working with the tremendously funny and heartbreakingly honest Emma Thompson to explore intimacy and desire, and to put on screen a relationship that feels unexpected and delightful. At a time when our need for each other is so vividly present, it will be a delight to create and show this connection between two people, which is funny, sexy and moving”.

Good Luck to You, Leo Grande is based on an original script written by UK comedian Katy Brand (Katy Brand's Big Ass Show). Produced by Debbie Gray of Genesius Pictures, the film is set to go into production in London in early 2021. Cornerstone films will handle international sales and distribution.
